All of this year’s finalists were given the opportunity to run a Crowdfunder campaign hosted by Award sponsor Crowdfunder.co.uk, and they each had four weeks to generate as much support as possible for their work.
For those finalists not taking part in the Crowdfunder campaign, support was generated by Tweeting the hashtag of the favourite finalist.
The finalist generating the most support wins the People’s Award, which was announced at the awards ceremony.
