Turning digital pennies into micro-donations
Pennies is an electronic charity box that enables people to donate a few pence of their electronic change as they pay for with a debit or credit card. In the first few months since launch more than 440,000 donations have been made, worth well over £100,000 have been received. More than half were for less than 10 pence, showing that pennies really do add up to pounds.
