Thrive has been using social therapeutic horticulture and gardening to change people’s lives since 1979.
In July 2022, Thrive launched an updated free digital service, ‘Get Gardening’. Through it, they aim to help more people use gardening as part of their personal health and wellbeing management.
Drawing on more than 40 years of Thrive’s therapeutic horticulture experience, the information is designed for individuals with a wide range of health conditions, including both physical and mental health needs. It has been developed with a series of filters and tags that allow visitors to select information purely relevant to their specific condition. For example, an individual who is a wheelchair user can access bespoke guides with advice to help make gardening more accessible for wheelchair user.
