Convo UK turns interpreting from a booked service into on-demand access. With more than 1 million interpreted conversations already delivered, it shows real scale and a clear shift towards everyday independence for Deaf BSL users.

Convo UK is removing one of the most common barriers Deaf people face every day: the need to pre-book British Sign Language interpreting for routine conversations. Life does not wait for scheduled access. GP appointments, airport queries, workplace discussions and banking conversations often happen in the moment, yet traditional services can take days or weeks to arrange. Convo changes that with instant, on-demand BSL interpreting through simple technology such as QR codes and phone links, giving Deaf people direct control over their own communication. The service has already delivered more than 1 million BSL interpreted conversations in the UK, helping Deaf users access services across healthcare, travel, finance and employment. It also shifts access from something organisations plan in advance to something available at the point of need. For Deaf people, that means greater independence, less reliance on others, and a more equal experience in everyday life. For organisations, it offers a practical and scalable way to provide access when it really matters.
