SLK – Sign Language Karo addresses the everyday communication gap between deaf and non-deaf people by making it easier for more people to learn basic sign language. While captions and interpreters are more common in formal settings, everyday interactions at home, in education, and at work remain a challenge, often limiting opportunities for deaf individuals.

It does this through short, interactive sign language spelling games on Snapchat that are designed to be quick, accessible and easy to use. The games can be completed in under a minute, provide instant feedback, and work on most smartphones, making learning simple and engaging. With millions of plays across over 60 games, the project is introducing sign language to a large, global audience and helping build more inclusive communication habits.
